 Duties & Responsibilities

The office of the Accountant General, Goa is entrusted with:

Audit of :

Receipts and expenditure of all departments/offices of the Government of the Goa as well as of autonomous bodies, government companies and statutory corporations under its administrative control;

 Assisting the Public Accounts Committee and the Committee on Public Undertakings of the Goa Legislative Assembly in examination of the Audit Reports of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India relating to the Government of Goa.

 Pre- check and payment of all claims, authorization of pension and retirement benefits, maintenance of Provident Fund accounts, long term/short term advances.
